Training
Training is probably the most important aspect of triathlon, yet can also be the hardest. Here at PTC we recognise that some people prefer to train alone, but that many appreciate the advantages of training together. To try and cater for our members needs we organise a number of 'formal' and 'informal' training sessions. If you would like advice on any aspect of training, do not hesitate to talk to another club member at one of the sessions or contact one of the Committee Members who will be only too pleased to help you. Please note that none of the sessions currently provided by the club are officially coached - individuals may take the lead and appropriate sessions suggested but it is your decision whether to follow the session or not.

Training Fees
The three 'formal' sessions (Tuesday and Thursday swim, Tuesday run) can be paid for in one of the following ways:
Option 1 - £2.50 (£1.25
juniors) per session (cash)
Option 2 - £10 (£5 juniors) per month (standing order) -
covers these 3 sessions
The Wednesday spin session is charged separately to this and costs £3.00 and is payable on the night - to be given to the Coach at the begining or end of the session - do not pay the Sports Centre as you enter the building, just go straight through to the bikes.
We expect everyone who trains with the Club to support us by joining as members. Please see our treasurer, Alex Illyat for details of membership and to obtain a standing order form for training. The necessary documents can also be acquired by navigating to the "membership" section of the website.
Training Equipment
PTC owns some training equipment
which club members are encouraged to make use of. Equipment currently
available includes turbo trainers, heart-rate monitors and a number
of training books. For more details please contact Julia Hill.
