The Race

The TriExercise Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon is based at Broad Haven in St. Bride’s Bay, a stunning beach setting in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The event has the support of The Havens Community Council, Pembrokeshire County Council, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, along with numerous sponsors and supporters, including our title sponsor, TriExercise of Havefordwest.

The course has been designed to be challenging, but enjoyable, with superb scenery. The event is suitable for everyone, from novices to seasoned triathletes, but either way it will be tough for everyone! We also welcome relay teams of three, or even two people with one person taking on two of the disciplines.

The swim never ventures further than 200m from shore, with experienced kayakers, a RIB, and even the in-shore lifeboat at hand to make you feel extra safe! The bike is best described as challenging, with some descent climbs and fast descents, but always great scenery. The run takes the award for the best scenery however - the first 3k are on the beach and coast path, with superb views across St. Bride's Bay to St. David's and Ramsey Island. The beach finish is renowned, as are the Welsh cakes when you cross the line!

The 2012 race is hosting the Welsh Triathlon Championships so the 250 places are sure to fill fast - enter early to avoid disappointment. If not full, entries will close on Saturday 30th June.
