CSA Llysyfran YFC time trial - 9 March 2008
Report by Val Brown
Mud, mud, glorious mud,
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood, feet, shins, knees..........
It's been a while since I last did this race, which is in time trial format - runners set off at 30 second intervals. It was a small field of 28 runners - but its quality not quantity at times!
Terry and I were the only 2 reps from Pembs Tri - but as I said - quality not quantity!
Apart from the fact I set off towards the back of the field so I was pretty much alone for a lot of the time - the race was quite enjoyable - the sun was shining, and, the breeze made it quite pleasant running in shorts for one of the first outings of shockingly white legs this year.
The only downfall for me was I decided to wear my off-road shoes which I havent used many times - and discovered that they are quite hard against my poor little tootsies on the downhill from the car park over the other side of the dam towards the end - big toe on right foot starting to go interesting shades of purple!
Terry was kind enough to hang around for me at the end - so we went for a couple of miles more out towards New Moat to make up some extra distance in readiness for Teifi 10 in a couple of weeks.
Results for us are below:
| Position | Name | Time |
| 18 | Terry Gover | 53.05 |
| 20 | Val Brown | 55.34 |
