The 2008 event proved to be a resounding success, with good weather (once the fog lifted), great performances from 1st to last, and terrific support from the gathered spectators.
The Club wishes to thank our main sponsors, South Hook LNG, for their generous support of this year’s event and also the event in 2009. Thanks also to TriExercise of Milford Haven (www.triexercise.co.uk) for supplying spot prizes and for generally helping out with the event, and to Mike Howlin Motors in Johnston for generously providing us with a transit van for the weekend which helped enormously. The community of Dale and surrounding area were very welcoming – long may this continue.
The date for 2009 has been confirmed – Sunday 27th September. Entries will open in January, and there will be a strict limit (currently being negotiated). We fully expect the event to fill well in advance of the 31st August closing date, so get your entry in early. Once full, we will operate a reserve list to which places made available by withdrawals will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. There will be no entries accepted after 31st August, even for the reserve list.
The 2008 event raised over £500 for our nominated charity, Adam’s Bucketful of Hope Appeal. If you raised any additional sponsorship individually, please ensure this is collected and paid into the appeal as soon as possible.
